Capitalize on the Future Campaign Hits One Million Dollars in Donations

The Oahe Capitals Hockey Organization is still in the midst of its Capitalize on the Future Campaign and last week the campaign has hit the one million dollar mark.

The end goal of the project is five million dollars, but Nick Marso, head of the Capitalize on the Future Campaign says it’s a big step and a quick moving step to have a million in 18 months. Marso says they’ve had almost 90 different donors…

Phase 1 of the campaign was the initial Icebarn improvements which was completed in 2022 along with Phase 2 and the Expo Center improvements completed in 2023. Marso says they’ve already spent over $500,000 for the project which includes the initial improvements to help the Icebarn continue to run as normal…

The other part Marso says, is to keep up to date with the ice at the Expo Center…

The next step is to pave the parking lot at the Icebarn which Marso hopes to be done by next summer…

To donate you can contact Marso directly or head to the website at oahehockey.org.
