The powerful Orediggers of Colorado School of Mines would bulldoze its way to a 56-10 win over Augustana which included four rushing touchdowns during the second round game of the Division II playoffs.
Colorado would take a 14-0 lead at the end of the first quarter with a 28-3 lead at halftime and wouldn’t let up with another two scores in each of the third and fourth quarter to finish off the Vikings season and advance to the Division II quarterfinals next week. Casey Bauman would throw a touchdown pass to Logan Uttecht for the Vikings only touchdown of the game. Onida’s Jett Lamb didn’t register a stat in the game.
The Vikings finish the season at 10-2 while Lamb’s junior year closes with 14 total and two tackles for loss.
