PIERRE. (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. The Commission will consider a shorter agenda tonight so that the Mayor and Commissioners can attended the Christmas at the Capitol Grand Lighting Ceremony. In special business, the Commission will get an update on the Let Freedom Fly Airshow before considering approval of a four-item consent calendar including minutes from the last meeting, claims, a promotion in the library and a raffle request. The Commission will consider approval of a safety training contract with M-M-U-A and a second change order on the Highway 34 water main loop project. Commissioners will also consider a change order on the 2023 curb and gutter project, get an update from the Deer Management Task Force and consider a resolution to establish rules for special alcohol licenses. Commissioners will also present any dialogue they may have. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm. The meeting is open to the community.
