The Miller Rustlers would be unable to get a win on Friday or Saturday falling in sweeps to both Rapid City Christian and Dell Rapids and will finish in fourth place in the Class A state tournament.
On Friday the Rustlers would drop a three set match to the Lady Comets, 25-18, 25-17 and 25-14 falling to the third place match. Aleah Schlechter would lead the way for the Rustlers with 10 kills while Miller could only muster three aces after its 13 on Thursday. Ana Egge would have the match high 18 for Rapid City Christian.
Then on Staurday, Miller would fall to Dell Rapids by scores of 25-15, 25-20 and 25-21 to close out the season 29-8. No Rustler would have double digit kills, but it seven of the eight to get into the match would have at least a kill. Schlechter would again lead the team with seven kills while Jolie Palmer would have three aces as Miller finished with eight in total. Madelynn Henry of Dell Rapids would finish with a match high 23 kills.
The Rustlers finish in fourth place in the Class A state tournament for the second straight year.
