A couple of area coaches are recognized for the Cross Country Coaches of the year for the four areas across the state. Potter County’s Jessica Larson is named the Class B Area 1 Coach of the year.
Potter County’s girls team would win the Class B girls state championship once again this year with a score of 22, 14 points better than second place.
Chamberlain’s Holly Evans would win the Class A Area 3 Coach of the Year. The Cubs girls team would place second in the Class A race. The Cubs had a score of 62 points only behind Sioux Falls Christian for a championship title.
Ralph Kroetch of Philip Class B Area 4 would win the coach of the year after the Phiip Scotties boys team would score a remarkable 13 points. Philip had four runners inside the top ten at this year’s Class B boys race.
