Miller Sweeps Flandreau to Head Back to Class A State Tournament

The Miller Rustlers would be successful in getting back to the Class A State tournament on Tuesday night with a sweep over the Flandreau Fliers with scores of 25-17, 25-17 and 25-12.

Aleah Schlechter would lead all hitters on the evening with 11 kills, the only into double figures as the Rustlers would battle in the first set before taking control over the Fliers. In sets two and three, Miller would open up the distance between the two teams early on and keep the Fliers at bay. Paige Werdel had eight kills while Jolie Palmer had four aces.

The Rustlers improve its record to 28-6 and advance to the Class A state tournament where they move to be the three seed and will face Wagner in the first round of the tournament. First serve is scheduled for 7:45 Central time from Rapid City.
