The Miller Rustlers are the four seed in the Class A SoDak 16 and tonight will face the 13 seed in Flandreau in Huron for a spot in the Class A State tournament.
The 27-6 Rustlers were able to roll its way into the SoDak 16 picking up wins over McLaughlin and North Central, both sweeps, in the Region 6A tournament. Flandreau had to play both of its Region tournament games at Hamlin as the 2A tournament was played at two different locations. The four seed Fliers beat the five seed Florence/Henry in five sets before sweeping the Hamlin Chargers to advance to the SoDak 16. The Fliers are 18-9 and have won five of its last six.
The Rustlers are a versatile team as Miller was led in the Region tournament by Paige Werdel in the first round with 15 kills while Shaylee Anderberg and Aleah Schlechter had 11 and 10 kills respectively. The Rustlers can get the job done with multiple different hitters.
First serve tonight is scheduled for 7:30 in Huron. Warner and Tripp-Delmont/Armour will play first at 6:00 all at the Huron Arena.
