The Pierre Governors would intercept four passes, Trey Lewis would rush for three touchdowns and the Pierre Governors would defeat the Watertown Arrows 35-14 Friday night and advance to the 11AA state championship.
Lewis would run for 156 yards and three scores and was one of four Governors with an interception as Spencer Easland, Titian Winkler and Cade Kaiser would all finish with an INT. Pierre would score on its first drive of the game on a seven yard rush by Kaiser followed by a one yard rush by Jett Zabel to go up 14-7. Lewis would then finish off the night running in three scores from 37 yards, 14 yards and two yards out to help secure the win. Kaiser would go 13-22 for 132 yards through air as five different Governors would make multiple catches. Juven Hudson would finish 134 yards on 17 carries and a touchdown for the Watertown Arrows while Treyton Himmerich would hit Spencer Weintjes for a touchdown pass for Watertown’s only two scores.
