Stanley County Begins Region Tournament at Home Hosting Cheyenne-Eagle Butte

The Stanley County Lady Buffaloes will be at home tonight for the first round of the Region 6A Tournament and will host Cheyenne-Eagle Butte, looking for a third win against the Braves.

The two teams have met twice so far this season with the Lady Buffs scoring a 2-0 victory at the Mobridge-Pollock tournament while also winning 3-0 in part of a triangular with Todd County in Ft. Pierre. The two teams met in the first round of the Region 6A tournament last year with the Lady Buffs winning 3-1.

Stanley County is 17-8 on the season and get another chance to host a playoff game. Over the last couple of years the Lady Buffs have had to play on the road even as the higher seed excluding last season and TJ Drageset, head coach of the Lady Buffaloes says it’s rewarding for the girls to play in front of such a great supporting fan base…

Drageset says the Lady Buffs need to play their game tonight…

First serve is scheduled for 7:00 tonight from the Parkview Auditorium in Ft. Pierre. The winner of tonight’s match will face the winner of the two seed Mobridge-Pollock and the seven seed Crow Creek.
