South Dakota Woman Finalist For Million Dollar Prize In Powerball NASCAR Competition

PIERRE, (KCCR) — A South Dakota woman is one of four finalists with a chance to win big money connected to the season-ending NASCAR Championship in Phoenix, Arizona this weekend. NASCAR and the Powerball lottery game have joined forces to provide four finalists from across the country a V-I-P NASCAR Championship weekend and the chance to win a million dollars. Barbara Wipf of Sioux Falls entered non-winning Powerball tickets into the NASCAR Powerball Playoff. Wipf and nine others from the South Dakota Lottery’s Players Club were entered into the nationwide drawing. Only 16 became semi-finalists. Those 16 were selected through a random selection. Players were eliminated through a series of drawings. The million dollar drawing will be a part of N-B-C’s pre-race coverage for the NASCAR Cup Series Championship race on Sunday at approximately one-pm. Wipf is in the final with finalists from Mississippi, New Mexico and Indiana.
