The Stanley County Lady Buffaloes would take a five set victory over the Jones County Coyotes on Tuesday and with the win, overtake the three seed heading into the region tournament.
Scores of the match were 15-25, 25-10, 25-19, 23-25 and 15-12. The win gave the Lady Buffs a seed point average of 40.840 while Dupree’s loss on Monday to Lemmon/McIntosh dropped its seed points to 40.667. The Lady Buffs finish the regular season at 17-9 and will host Cheyenne-Eagle Butte in the first round of the region tournament with the likely hood of traveling to Mobridge-Pollock with a win for the SoDak 16 qualifying match. Jones County will finish the season at 5-21 and will be the seven seed taking on Kadoka Area in the first round of the 7B tournament.
Game time is still to be determined but the Lady Buffs will play Cheyenne-Eagle Butte on Tuesday, October 31. TJ Drageset, the head coach of the Lady Buffaloes will join Coaches Corner tonight to talk about the wrap up of the regular season and heading into the playoffs.
