The Pierre Governors couldn’t overcome the hitting woes on Tuesday night as the Brookings Bobcats would defeat the Govs in four sets, 18-25, 25-19, 25-27 and 24-26.
The Governors had 27 hitting errors on the night on top of 11 service errors which did the Govs in for the night. Pierre would lead in almost every other category, but too many errors would be the downfall. Reese Terwilliger would lead the way for the Govs with 15 kills while Abigail Kropp would finish with 10 kills and Campbell Boddicker with six.
Macy Even would lead the way for the Bobcats who improve to 14-15 on the season with 16 kills. 12 of the 16 would come in sets three and four. Sydney Bebensee would have five aces while the Bobcats had a total of nine in the match including the winning point.
The loss drops the Governors to 10-9 on the season and without a win against Jefferson next week Tuesday, will need help to stay inside the top eight to host a SoDak 16 match.
