The Stanley County Lady Buffalo volleyball team would fall to the Highmore-Harrold Pirates on Friday night in Ft. Pierre with scores of 25-19, 22-25, 21-25 and 23-25.
All three winning sets for Highmore-Harrold could have gone either way, but the Pirates were able to hold to win all three and pick up a huge seed point win defeating the Lady Buffs. The win puts the 12-15 Pirates within reach of fourth place in the 6B standings trying to pass Lyman with just one game left to play in the year.
Stanley County drops to 16-8 and stays in fourth place in the 6A standings.
The Lady Buffs will face Jones County to close out the season on Tuesday. First serve will be around 7:30 at the Parkview Auditorium in Ft. Pierre.
