The Pierre Governor cheer and dance team would wrap up its state meet on Saturday with the dance team finishing in seventh and the cheer team in 14th place.
The Governor dance team would place fifth in the pom division while placing eighth in the hip hop division. Overall the Governors scored a season high 264.5 to place seventh overall in the state. Melania Lamb would receive an All-State honor in dance for Pierre. Brandon Valley would win the state AA championship with a score of 296.
On the cheer side, the Governors would score a season high in points at 207.5 placing 14th. Anastyn Baade and Neaveh Karber each would receive All-State honors for the Govs. Jefferson would take home the state championship with a 288.
