Governors Survive another Five Set Match

The Pierre Governors would put an end to its five match losing streak surviving the Huron Tigers in a five set thriller 19-25, 25-18, 25-12, 14-25 and 15-6.

The Governors would fall in the first set, but really showed dominance in the second and third set putting an end to a 13 set losing streak to take a 2-1 lead. Reese Terwilliger had eight kills in the third set alone of her match high 18 kills. Huron, though would dominate the fourth set in the 25-14 win. However, the Govs would find a way, with Terwilliger’s four kills in the fifth set as the Govs put an end to its five game losing streak and improve to 9-7 on the season while Huron falls to 12-12.

The Governors also had Abby Kropp with 12 kills and Campbell Boddicker with 10 kills. Campbell Cronin finished with nine kills and three aces to help lead the charge for Pierre.
