Governors Host Huron Two Weeks after Meeting in Huron

The Pierre Governor volleyball team will be looking to stop its five match losing streak on Tuesday returning home trying to avenge its loss to the Huron Tigers.

The Governors have three games this week and can avenge two of its losses playing Huron tonight and Aberdeen Central at home on Saturday. Two weeks ago the Govs traveled to Huron to face the Tigers and couldn’t get the motor rolling losing in a three set match. Tonight, however, the Govs might be the more desperate team. For the first time all season Pierre is playing outside of the top eight in the AA standings and without wins down the stretch, the Govs will have to go on the road in the SoDak 16 for the first time since the 2020 season. Pierre is currently in ninth, but all three teams are above them in the standings and are winnable contests for the Govs.

Coverage of the night begins at 6:30 with first serve at 7:00 on KCCR and on YouTube at KCCR Sports with Jon Winkler on the call.
