Eagle Butte Woman Sentenced For Meth Distribution

PIERRE. (KCCR) — An Eagle Butte woman has been sentenced in federal court to four years for her role in a methamphetamine distribution operation. U-S Attorney Alison Ramsdell says 39 year-old Irene Guerrero was sentenced October 10th to the four years in federal custody in addition to three years of probation upon release and a one-thousand dollar fine. Guerrero was indicted by a federal grand jury in August of last year. She pleaded guilty in June. Ramsdell says Guerrero was involved with several others in the distribution of meth in and near the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation from February of 2021 until June of 2022. Guerrero would obtain large amounts of meth which she would sell to other. Guerrero was taken into the custody of the U-S Marshal’s Service to begin serving her sentence.
