The Pierre Governors would drop its fifth straight match on Thursday with a three set sweep by the Yankton Gazelles 25-16, 25-22 and 25-16.
On senior night, the Yankton Gazelles came out on a mission and would pick up its fourth win of the season improving to 4-13 on the year. For the Governors, its the fifth straight loss and are now 8-7 on the season. The loss is a detriment to the seed points for the Govs as they continue to slide down the AA standings. The Govs were led by Reese Terwilliger who had six kills for the Govs. Macy Drotzman and Ava Koller each had 10 kills for the Gazelles, both seniors for Yankton.
