Governors Host Undefeated Harrisburg in Only Second Weekday Home Match

The only team remaining without a loss will be in Pierre tonight as the Governors will host the Harrisburg Tigers in an ESD match as the Govs look for a big win.

It’s been rare for the Governors to have a weekday home match as only the Douglas game on Thursday, August 31 was a home game during the week for Pierre. Tonight, it’s a tough contest facing the best team in AA and one of the final two teams in all of South Dakota who is undefeated. The Tigers are 16-0 on the year, but have not played a South Dakota opponent since September 28 when they beat Jefferson in five sets. It was a matchup of the last two undefeated teams in AA and the two have shown dominance throughout the year. Pierre is at 8-5 and looking to an end a three game skid after dropping a three set match to Huron last week Tuesday.

Coverage of the match will begin at 6:30 with first serve at 7:00 on KCCR and on YouTube at KCCR Sports with Jon Winkler on the call.
