Governors Swept by Huron as Govs Drop Third Straight

The Pierre Governors couldn’t pull it together on Tuesday with a three set loss to the Huron Tigers with scores of 25-20, 25-23 and 25-22.

The loss drops the Govs to now 8-5 on the season and dropping the Govs to sixth place in the AA standings. It’s the third straight loss for the Govs while ending a torrid stretch for the Tigers who had lost 10 of the last 12 matches. Samantha Mangmoradeth had 11 kills for the Tigers in the match high. Reese Terwilliger had seven kills to lead the Govs but Pierre had 13 service errors in the loss.

The Governors will be off until next week Tuesday when they take on the Harrisburg at home. Coverage of the match will start at 6:30 with first serve at 7:00 on KCCR and on YouTube at KCCR Sports.
