PIERRE. (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. The Commission will consider approval of a six-item consent calendar. The calendar includes minutes and claims for approval along with three new hires and a raffle request. In unfinished business, Commissioners will consider approval of a plat of Block 2-R in the Heritage Ridge 2nd Addition for the Stencil Group apartment project. The South Dakota Discovery Center will bring two items before the Commission for consideration. One is in relation to the upcoming Best for Last event and the second is for a Discovery on Tap event. Commissioners will consider approval of an easement agreement between the city and Wegner Auto; a request to purchase a 2024 For F-150 for the fire department and an amendment to the agreement with the city’s airline consultant ArkStar. Commissioners will end the meeting by presenting any dialogue they may have. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm.
