The Pierre Governor tennis team will finish in sixth place at the Class A state tournament in Sioux Falls on Tuesday. Breanna Tedrow would have the best finish for the Governors in third place.
Tedrow, in singles flight five would place third after dropping her semifinal matchup Tuesday morning before winning the third place match 8-4 over Sakara White-Davis of Vermillion. Bailey Jessen in flight four would take fifth place winning 8-4 and Genevieve Oxford in flight six also placed fifth winning 8-3 in the fifth place match. Caitlin Ott was sixth in flight two.
Jocelyn Corrales and Ott in doubles flight two would place fourth, the highest finish flight for the Governors.
