The Pierre Governors will have some work to do after the first day of the AA state golf meet as they are in sixth place, 25 shots behind first.
Lincoln Houska would be the Governor leader at five over par, 76 while Sawyer Sonnenschein is at a 77, Nick Bothun and Luke Olson at 79 each and Jack Bartlett along with Charlie Simpson at an 80. Individually Jake Olson of Watertown is the clubhouse leader after the first 18 holes at two under par, 69. He has a one shot lead over three golfers heading into day two.
Team wise, Watertown leads O’Gorman by a single stroke heading into the second day. Brandon Valley is third 15 shots out of first place while Harrisburg, fourth, is 19 shots, Mitchell in fifth is 24 shots and the Governors 25 shots behind the Arrows in sixth.
