Brandon Valley Reverse Sweeps Pierre

The Brandon Valley Lynx would be down 2-0 to the Pierre Governors on Saturday, but the Lynx would storm back and finish off a 3-2 win over the Governors.

Pierre would take the first two sets 25-19 and had a lead in the third set, but the Lynx would start its comeback. Jersie Melcher had six kills in the third set to help pick up the first win of the match for Brandon Valley. She would finish with 19 in total, the match high as the Lynx are now 5-10 on the season and 1-3 in five set matches. Abby Gruber and Jayuanna Stroh each had 12 kills for BV. Riya Sheley had four aces for the Lynx.

Pierre would be led by Campbell Boddicker who had 16 kills while Abigail Kropp added 11 and Reese Terwilliger 10. Campbell Cronin had five kills along with four block points as the Govs fall to 8-4 on the season and are now 3-1 in five set matches. Pierre has blown a 2-0 lead in three of the last four matches, but this is the first time they’ve dropped the entire game.

The Governors will be back on the court on Tuesday in Huron. First serve is scheduled for 7:00 at the Huron Arena.
