Governors Stumble in Watertown

The Watertown Arrows would pick up a sweep of the Pierre Governors in volleyball action on Thursday with scores of 25-22, 25-19 and 25-20.

Pierre falls to 8-3 on the season and would get out to slow starts in all three sets. The Govs had just a few leads in total, a 10-8 lead in set one and didn’t take another lead until midway through the third set. Reese Terwilliger would have eight kills to lead the Governors while Campbell Boddicker would add six and Abigail Kropp with five. Watertown had a strong performance by Emery Thury who finished with the match high 17 kills while Carter Jurrens would chip in nine and Eve Hauger with seven. Watertown had 45 kills in total along with 10 aces. The Arrows improve to 10-3 on the season.
