The Brandon Valley Lynx would use the dominant offensive line to rush for 299 yards in a 35-14 win over the Pierre Governors on Friday night.
Levi Verskna would run the ball 44 times for 267 yards and three scores as all three rushing touchdowns came in the first half in a 28-7 lead for the Lynx. The work horse for the Lynx would have 44 of the total 52 rushing attempts. Jack Thue would go just 4-12 through the air for only 48 yards but have a touchdown.
Pierre would be led by Cade Kaiser throwing for 206 yards on 16-26 passing, two touchdowns and an interception with Jett Zabel catching both of 35 yards and 25 yards, The Governors made it 14-7 in the second quarter, but the Lynx were able to answer and take a three touchdown lead before half. The loss ended a 20 game winning streak for the Governors and the first loss since Week Nine in 2021.
