Man KIlled In Jackson County Motorcycle Crash

INTERIOR, (KCCR) — The South Dakota Highway Patrol is reporting another fatal crash in Jackson County. A 62 year-old man died Thursday evening around 6:30 pm on South Dakota Highway 44 one mile east of Interior. The preliminary investigation indicates the man was driving a 2006 Suzuki motorcycle east on Highway 44 at mile post 122 when the man failed to negotiate a curve in the highway. The motorcycle left the road and made contact with a fence. The man was thrown from the motorcycle in the crash. The man was using a helmet at the time of the crash but died at the scene of the crash. The driver’s name is being withheld pending notification of family. Since July, the South Dakota Highway Patrol has responded to four fatal crashes in Jackson County.
