Chargers Caught out of Rhythm, Fall in Four Sets to North Central

The North Central Thunder played solid defense and just the right touch on kill shots to put Sully Buttes away in four sets, 16-25, 25-23, 25-17 and 25-16 Tuesday night in Onida.

Sully Buttes didn’t help their cause with unforced hitting errors, and 12 service errors compared to North Centrals’ eight.

Superior libero play by senior Jenisa Jacobs in the back row kept the Thunder focused on the attack with Amree VanderVorst leading the way with eight kills.

For the Chargers, Payge Bakker led in kills with nine while Trichelle White added seven. The 7-6 Chargers now travel to Sunshine Bible Academy Thursday, to Faulkton Saturday for the CSDC Conference Tournament and back home next Tuesday for a date with Potter County.

The Thunder are now at 8-6, and take on 4-11 Aberdeen Christian at home Thursday night.
