PIERRE, (KCCR) — Inflation isn’t going away and supply managers in the middle of country don’t see improvement anytime soon. Creighton University economist Dr. Ernie Goss says inflation readings in the August Mid-America Business Conditions Index aren’t good….
Goss says supply managers in the nine-state region that make up the survey believe prices will increase by five-percent over the next year…
Goss notes the Consumer Price Index, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics in cooling, which is also concerning…
The services side grew at six-tenths of one-percent, which multiplied by four is two-point-four percent which Goss says slightly above the Federal Reserve’s target.
