PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Hughes County Commission is meeting tonight at the Hughes County Courthouse. In special business a joint city/county commission will be held for final consideration of a plat change for lots in the Maher Subdivision on the east side of Pierre. New business for Commissioners includes consideration of a library fee request and pay adjustments in the State’s Attorney office. The Commission will consider approval of contracts with Architecture Incorporated for highway at 2024 pavement markings with the Department of Transportation and personnel items at the Hughes County Jail. Commissioners will also consider budget supplements and continued discussion on the 2024 county budget. The regular meeting will end with reports from Finance Officer Thomas Olvia, County Manager Lori Jacobson and commission liaisons. An executive session is also on the agenda.
