The Pierre Governor golfers had a strong day on Friday in Yankton golfing a team three under par, 285 finishing in fourth place, just five shots back of Watertown for the team win.
Pierre had both Luke Olson and Sawyer Sonnenschein inside the top five, as they tied for fourth place just one shot back of the leaders Jake Olson, Kaden Rylance and Riley Christensen. The three had three playoff holes to determine the winner on the day. Olson and Sonnenschein were three under par, 69 for the day. Lincoln Houska would place tied for 10th at one under par, 71 while Nick Bothun was plus four, 76 tied for 25th. Bothun would eagle hole seven, a par five 453 yard hole. Jack Barlett would shoot a 77 and Charlie Simpson an 83 for the six Governor golfers.
Pierre will be in Brookings Monday for another invite. Tee time is at 10:00 AM at the Brookings Country Club.
