Pierre City Commission To Meet Tonight

PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. The agenda is full as last week’s meeting was canceled and those items added to tonight’s agenda. Commissioners will give second and final reading to two ordinance revisions connected to changes to the city’s boundary lines. The Commission will also consider approval of the city’s first medical cannabis dispensary license along with consideration of the T-F Riggs Homecoming parade route and a request to discharge fireworks at the Pierre Governor football game on September 21st. Commissioners will consider approval of a moving permit, a change order for Fire Engine number one and a report on the Neltom storm sewer project. Two plats will be introduced for lots in the Center Point and Highlands Ridge first additions. The Commission will consider personnel policy changes, an airport agreement for pavement sealing, a change order on the pickleball court project and a request to surplus property. Commissioners will also hear four budget presentations and give first reading to the 2024 city budget. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm.
