The Stanley County Buffaloes are now 3-0 to begin the season after a 40-0 shutout thumping of the Dupree Tigers Friday night on the road led by Barrett Schweitzer’s four touchdowns.
The Buffs did just have a 16-0 lead at the end of the first half but a 24 point second half put the Buffs into run time and pick up a third victory of the season. Late in the first quarter, Broch Zeeb would find Schweitzer for a 65 yard touchdown reception and the two point conversion would be successful. Schweitzer would catch another touchdown pass, this time on fourth and goal in the second quarter and the Buffs would lead 16-0 at the break. Schweitzer would get the hat trick midway point in the third quarter to give the Buffs a 24-0 lead but he wasn’t done yet, another rushing touchdown led to the Buffs to go up 32-0. Zeeb would finish off the scoring on a botched snapped which he picked up and would scamper to the end zone and the Buffs got the running clock rolling and a 3-0 start to the season. Stanley County also went 5-5 in two point conversions.
The Buffaloes will now have its bye week on Friday before returning to the field against Bon Homme on Friday September 15 for an afternoon contest.
