For the first time in 2023, the Pierre Governor volleyball team will be at home as they take on the Douglas Patriots tonight looking to remain unbeaten.
The Governors traveled out to Rapid City on Friday and Saturday this past weekend defeating both schools and now turn its attention to another West River school in the Douglas Patriots who are 2-5 on the season having wins over two Class A schools in St. Thomas More to start the season and Custer this past Tuesday.
Pierre spread out kills on Saturday to involve three players with double digit kills and the Govs have a chance to add to it with a couple of more players having the ability to be a big factor in the attacking department. Aberdeen Central is looming on Saturday and it will be a big ESD game, however, Pierre has to stay focused on the task at hand tonight against Douglas.
Coverage of the match will start at 6:30 with first serve at 7:00 on KCCR and on YouTube at KCCR Sports with Jon Winkler on the call.
