The Pierre Governor volleyball team wouldn’t have a problem with the Douglas Patriots on Thursday in its home opener defeating the Patriots in straight sets.
The Governors would pick up the first set win 25-18 and then 25-14 in set two before finishing the sweep with a 25-15 win. Campbell Boddicker would lead the way with 10 kills as Abigail Kropp would add nine and Reese Terwilliger seven. Setter Aleise Christopherson would pick her spots and the quick attack would lead to six kills on the night. Overall Pierre had 37 kills to just 15 for Douglas and finished with 12 aces to the Patriots three. The one blemish for Pierre would be the 11 service errors on the evening.
