The Sully Buttes Chargers are off to a 3-1 start to the season after going 2-1 on Saturday placing second in the Yellowstone Trail Conference Tournament.
The Chargers would play in Pool B and beat the Potter County Battlers to open up the tournament with a 2-0 win, 25-22 and 25-20. In the second game the Chargers would roll past the McLaughlin Mustangs with a 25-11 and 25-14 win to advance to the championship match winning Pool B. In the championship game, the Chargers would face powerful Herreid/Selby Area and the Wolverines would get the best of the Chargers winning 25-17 and 25-16.
Sully Buttes will have now its first home match on the newly renovated gym in Onida as they host the Faulkton Area Trojans. Coverage will be on Country 95.3, pierrecountry.com and on YouTube at Country 95.3 Sports with DT Meyer on the call and first serve around 7:30.
