On Friday, the Governors dropped the first set to the Stevens Raiders 25-23, but wouldn’t lose another set the rest of the weekend. Pierre would sneak away with a win in the second set 27-25, roll in set three 25-12 and then finish the win 26-24 in set four to open the weekend.

Then on Saturday, the Governors would use a nine point streak to open up a 12-5 lead on Rapid City Central and while the Cobblers made it close, the Govs took the first set 25-21. Pierre again would roll in a second set win 25-12 and then finish the day scoring the final two points to win 25-23 and go to 2-0. Pierre had three players in double digit kills on Saturday.
