Highway Patrol Releases Names Of Those Involved In Fatal Jackson County Crash

KADOKA, (KCCR) — The South Dakota Highway Patrol has identified three adults involved in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 90 in Jackson County earlier this week. The crash happened 12 miles west of Kadoka around 12:45 pm on Monday. According to the preliminary crash investigation a Toyota Camry and Chevy Trailblazer were both traveling down the interstate when the Toyota struck the rear of the Chevy. The Trailblazer rolled in the median while the Camry entered the south ditch. The driver of the Camry has been identified as 22 year-old Jacob Jumper of Stanwood, Washington. Jumper suffered minor injuries. The driver of the Trailblazer has been identified as 39 year-old Donell Red Bear of Fort Thompson. Red Bear suffered serious, non-life-threatening injuries. Thirty-five year-old Rikki Voice of Box Elder and a seven year-old female from Fort Thompson suffered life-threatening injuries. An 11 year-old male from Fort Thompson was killed in the crash. Jumper was using a seat belt. Seat belt use by the occupants of the Trailblazer remains under investigation.
