Work To Resume Friday On I-90 Bridge At Presho

PRESHO, (KCCR) — Work on the Interstate 90 bridge over U-S Highway 183 near Presho will resume at the end of the week to repair a westbound bridge damaged by a overheight load. The Exit 226 bridge was struck last fall. The bridge is being repaired in three parts; removal of the damaged bridge deck, replacement of a girder and the installation of new concrete. On Friday, traffic under the bridge will be closed off for approximately four weeks for girder replacement until Friday, September 22. All Exit 226 ramps will remain open but the underpass will be closed. Northbound 183 traffic looking to go west on the Interstate will need to go east on I-90 to Kennebec at Exit 235 then come back west on the interstate. Westbound I-90 traffic wanting to go south on 183 will need to continue to Presho Exit 225 and then come back east on I-90 to Exit 226 to continue south. The entire project is estimated to be completed by late October.
