Volleyball Opener Postponed Due to Heat

The Pierre Governor volleyball team will have to wait until Friday now for its opening match of the season after the game against Watertown has been postponed due to heat.

The Watertown Arena does not have air conditioning in it and at 9:30 AM on Tuesday, the temperature was already over 95 degrees. The right decision was made to postpone and play the match again later in the season. Right now, the game is still to be determined for a later date. Pierre will travel to Rapid City this weekend to face Stevens on Friday and then Central on Saturday to open up the year.

The Saturday contest will be on KCCR and on YouTube at KCCR Sports with first serve scheduled for 2:00 Central Time in Rapid City.
