The Pierre Governor soccer teams were unable to play on Tuesday, due to the extreme heat. The game has been postponed with no makeup date yet announced.
The two teams had already moved the start time back because of the heat from a 4:00 and 6:00 kickoffs to 6:00 and 8:00. However, when push came to shove, it wasn’t going to be much better with a two hour difference. Now Pierre will get ready for Sturgis, another road contest on Thursday.
Kickoff of the girls game will be at 5:00 Central Time on Thursday with the boys game to follow. Both games will be on KCCR and on YouTube at KCCR Sports with Jon Winkler on the call.
