The day is finally here for the volleyball season to get underway as the Pierre Governors will travel to Watertown to face the Arrows in an ESD opening contest.
Pierre has opened with Watertown each of the last two season and have gotten a win both times over the Arrows. However, this year the Watertown team will have plenty of experience. The Arrows lost just two two seniors from last year’s squad and will be senior heavy this season. The Governors, though, will counter with its veteran squad as five players return with a lot of experience. Reese Terwilliger, Aleise Christopherson, Makayla Sherwood, Lainey Reinke and Campbell Boddicker all return for their senior year.
