Stanley County Sees Changes in Lineup, Coaching Staff Heading into 2023

The Stanley County Lady Buffaloes will begin a new season next week with a few new faces and also a new head coach as TJ Drageset takes the reigns of the program.

Stanley County loses six seniors from last year’s team which includes two of its three top kill leaders in Kori Gabriel and Grace Sargent along with Olivia Chase, the setter who had over 400 assists in 2023 and had 1000 for her career. Cadence Hand returns for her senior year, who was second in kills for the Buffs last season. Drageset says they’ve been working a lot with the setters in the off-season…

Drageset isn’t new to the program though. She has been an assistant coach for the Lady Buffs and she says its been a great experience so far…

Stanley County opens the season at home against Wall and Bennett County in a triangular on Saturday, August 26. The day will begin at 2:00 at the Parkview Auditorium in Ft. Pierre.
