Pierre Man Arrested After Leading Police On Drunken Pursuit Through Pierre

PIERRE, (KCCR) — A Pierre man is arrested Tuesday for leading police through town while drunk. Pierre Police Captain Dusty Pelle says officers were alerted around 4:30 pm to a possibly intoxicated driver without a license driving in the city. Around five-pm officers located the subject, 32 year-old Milo Bullbear driving near the intersection of North Euclid and East Wynoka. Bullbear failed to stop for police leading to a pursuit. The pursuit went east and south to Sioux Avenue and continued to Sioux and Ree Street where the chase was ended due to Bullbear’s erratic driving and safety concerns from traffic. Officers resumed the pursuit after watching Bullbear hit a vehicle in the S-Curve. The pursuit ended when Bullbear hit a light pole near East Wells and South Cleveland Avenue. Bullbear was arrested on a third offense Driving Under the Influence charge along with Reckless Driving, Driving on a Suspended License, Aggravated Eluding, Felony Hit and Run, Failure to Report an Accident, Failure to Maintain Insurance, Failure to Use a Seat Belt and having an Unlicensed or Obstructed License Plate. Bullbear was treated for minor injuries after his arrest.
