The Pierre Governor golf team is off to a good start on the season as they sit in second place through the first day of the Warrior-Lynx Invite, only three shots back of first.
Pierre would shoot 15 over par 299 to finish in second place, eight shots ahead of third place O’Gorman and only three back of first place Harrisburg.
Luke Olson is tied for second after the first day going even par, 71, again only three shots back of first place. Nick Bothun is three over par, 74 tied for sixth and Sawyer Sonnenchein rounds out the third Gov in the top ten as he is tied for tenth at five over par. Lincoln Houska is tied for 16th at seven over par while Jack Bartlett is 13 over par after the first round and Charlie Simpson is 19 over par. Overall Pierre had 16 birdies as a team and Bothun would Eagle hole 16, a par five 479 yards.
