PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre School Board is holding it’s August meeting tonight at the District Administration Building. The Board will consider approval of the agenda and an eight-item consent calendar before getting comments from Superintendent Dr. Kelly Glodt. Board and public comments will follow along with an update on the Lion’s Club Vision program. The Board will discuss conflicts of interest and get a school safety update from District Safety Coordinator Todd Johnson. First reading will be given to revisions of the classified handbook and action will be taken on the classified hiring schedule. Board members will take action on the 2023 Fiscal Year audit engagement and discuss both the 2023 Fiscal Year preliminary report and A-R-P/ESSER School District plan. Other agenda items include consideration of donations, contracts items, resignations and out-of-district open enrollments. The Board will also meet in executive session for school safety. The Pierre School Board meets tonight at 5:30 pm.
