The core group for the Pierre Governor golf team has moved into the junior campaign as they begin the school season with competitions starting next week.
The six who competed at nearly every varsity event still have two years left with the Governors as Luke Olson, Sawyer Sonnenshein, Jack Bartlett, Nick Bothun, Charlie Simpson and Lincoln Houska are set to take the next step this season. The Governors will have its first set of competitions starting on Monday as they travel out to the Sioux Falls area to play at the Brandon Golf Course on Monday and Bakker Crossing on Tuesday. Tee time is at 12:00 on Monday and 8:00 AM Tuesday.
