Sattizahn Named President Of National Group Of State Court Administrators

PIERRE, (KCCR) — The man who oversees South Dakota’s state court administration has been elected to lead his colleagues across the country for the next year. Greg Sattizahn has been elected president of the Conference of State Court Administrators. The term is for one year. Sattizahn was elected to lead COSCA on August 2nd. Sattizahn has been South Dakota’s state court administrator in the Unified Judicial System since 2013. He has also held the positions of Director of Policy and Legal Services for U-J-S and legislative counsel. Sattizahn has also served as a law clerk and staff attorney for the South Dakota Supreme Court. Supreme Court Chief Justice Steven Jensen says Sattizahn’s accomplishments and professionalism have earned him the respect of his colleagues across the country. COSCA’s goal is to strengthen the judicial branch by improving the quality of state courts and increasing the public’s trust of the system. The group also works with the Conference of Chief Justices on issues of mutual interest.
