PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. The meeting will start in special business with the explanation of the new Solid Waste Household Swap program. Commissioners will consider approval of an eight-item consent calendar before moving into a busy agenda. The Commission will hold two public hearings at 5:45 pm. One is for a conditional use permit while the second is for the transfer of alcohol licenses. Commissioners will consider approval of a street closure request for the Pre-Mustang Rally on August 19th and a request to bid for Missouri Shores House of Hope. Approval of a memorandum of understanding for the House of Hope will also be considered. The Commission will consider a request for qualifications for a five year airport engineering agreement, give a notice of hearing for a special assessment roll for the extension of Black Hills Drive and Commissioner will begin hearing budget requests from outside agencies. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm.
