Pierre Man Arrested Saturday On Public Indecency, Other Charges

PIERRE, (KCCR) — A Pierre man is arrested Saturday morning by Pierre police for running naked through an alley. Pierre Police Chief Jason Jones says officers were called August 5th around 8:35 am to a report of an individual running near Highland and Sioux Avenues without any clothing on. As officers arrived, they located a male running south toward an alleyway in the 400 block of East Sioux Avenue. Police gave the man multiple commands to stop running which he failed to comply with. Officers were able to detain the subject after a short foot pursuit. Once detailed, the man actively resisted the officers attempts to arrest him. A-M-R ambulance was requested by police to assess the man, identified by police as 18 year-old Jeremiah Prue with any and all medical concerns. Prue was transported to Avera St. Mary’s hospital and released. He is being charged with Public Indecency, Obstruction of Law Enforcement and Resisting Arrest.
